I...OK, this is weird and really freaking annoying. I used the original fix posted by changing the parameter to 15. It connected a torrent that originally appeared to not even be looking for seeds. At the same time it totally stopped the one that it seemed to be focused on before. I don't know if this is an ISP problem or what. Not using proxy. Probably should be. Anyone know of free ones that have reasonable speeds? Also, I'm not a torrent genius so could someone please explain to me what changing that parameter actually did? Thanks! Good luck everyone, and if anyone figures this out any further plz post.klearly jadedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12387181350242493574noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4736857382083311240.post-77355995618765405822015-05-23T22:21:46.863-07:002015-05-23T22:21:46.863-07:00Wokred ..ThanksWokred ..ThanksAnkit Nigamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16157242247761521214noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4736857382083311240.post-33717705472669672282015-03-23T18:14:37.135-07:002015-03-23T18:14:37.135-07:00Thanks but it didn't work for meThanks but it didn't work for meShaman33https://www.blogger.com/profile/15328088771198116069noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4736857382083311240.post-26173310159223727562014-10-02T18:05:42.469-07:002014-10-02T18:05:42.469-07:00not doing anything here eithernot doing anything here eitherAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10364290451485204586noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4736857382083311240.post-67203307426741639362014-06-19T19:03:46.323-07:002014-06-19T19:03:46.323-07:00didn't do anything for me toodidn't do anything for me tooRaven2099https://www.blogger.com/profile/12011305188133258376noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4736857382083311240.post-26955310982827953042014-03-26T19:08:45.876-07:002014-03-26T19:08:45.876-07:00I'm using Google DNS, but change DNS also in u...I'm using Google DNS, but change DNS also in uTorrent preferences unfortunately don't work for me. ipconfig /flushdns, restarting also. What I did was set my network connection to use Google's DNS servers at IP addresses 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and also set these up in utorrent Preferences - Advanced - isp.primary_dns and isp.secondary_dns parameters.Spexxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17100619665912316404noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4736857382083311240.post-46753739631756124442014-03-18T18:38:54.741-07:002014-03-18T18:38:54.741-07:00Not in 3.4.1 Beta...Not in 3.4.1 Beta...marsjaninzmarsahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01378008580135982785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4736857382083311240.post-73333408851036624282014-03-18T17:55:49.000-07:002014-03-18T17:55:49.000-07:00This problem seems to have been completely fixed w...This problem seems to have been completely fixed with uTorrent version 3.4 and I hope it can now be regarded as a dead issue.Spexxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17100619665912316404noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4736857382083311240.post-85823793097593491832014-03-10T16:54:35.312-07:002014-03-10T16:54:35.312-07:00Having "mucked about" with this for some...Having "mucked about" with this for some time now I get the impression that the real culprit is DHT, since disabling this made the problem go away for at least eight hours of continuous operation. Sharing large numbers of files will presumably generate a fair amount of UDP traffic every time that a DHT update "burst" occurs and it may be this which generates a failure by overwhelming the client in some fashion. To investigate this further, I propose re-enabling DHT and tweaking the client Advanced Setting "DHT Rate" to see if it has an observable effect.Spexxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17100619665912316404noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4736857382083311240.post-47379422219507225142014-01-20T18:47:20.778-08:002014-01-20T18:47:20.778-08:00I have been getting this problem myself a lot rece...I have been getting this problem myself a lot recently and this "old" fix should be somewhat irrelevant now. I have done a fair bit of "packet sniffing" to try and pin it down. When using a proxy service, I find that the proxy just "stops talking UDP" to the listening port on the client (that is the port number you define in utorrent preferences) or when using no proxy I find that while there is still incoming UDP traffic, it is as though the client has "stopped listening". More recently though, using a proxy, I have found this condition immediately on utorrent startup as well which is particularly annoying since it happened twice just today. I have this suspicion that ISPs are beginning to interfere with this type of internet traffic again but maybe that is just paranoia. Nevertheless I am considering switching to a full VPN service with fully encrypted data to see if it makes a difference. I will post up here with info in due course.Spexxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17100619665912316404noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4736857382083311240.post-80784792613771806642014-01-20T06:31:02.892-08:002014-01-20T06:31:02.892-08:00still doesnt work, this is sooo annoying D:still doesnt work, this is sooo annoying D:Simon Luytenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11619657162712635432noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4736857382083311240.post-3214573923911077052013-11-26T08:50:19.763-08:002013-11-26T08:50:19.763-08:00Thank you !!!!
